TAKEN FOR GRANTED: People Making Decisions in US Dept. of
Veterans Affairs are NOT Doing WHAT IS BEST FOR VETERANS!
After the tragedy at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland
Springs, TX; which involved an ex-Air Force enlisted man (26 yr old Devin
Patrick Kelley) who had a history of mental health issues, the people in charge
of the US Department of Veterans Affairs have shown their Wisdom-In-Action by suggesting
that doctors improve communication with veterans about the benefits of Marijuana,
but without recommending it. This includes states where it is Legal.
This is the same kind of Gestapo thinking that resulted in
Mr. Kelley’s horrible deeds. There is no way that the Air Force didn’t know
Kelley had mental health issues; he was in their jail/prison for one year. Those adults and children could still be alive
if the US Air Force would have notified the FBI of Mr. Kelley’s issues, or
given proper medical treatment to Mr. Kelley; possibly even Marijuana/CBD’s.
Research findings have just been published suggesting that
CBD (Cannabidiol) is effective as an Adjunctive Therapy in Schizophrenia; you
can check out The American Journal of Psychiatry online if you want more
details.
Maybe if more of us read & wrote to our elected
officials we would have fewer sorrows and longer, healthier lives shared with
those we loved & lost.
Death is the end. Life is all that we can influence.
